We will learn How we can initially access the TP-LINK JET stream POE switch model : 1500 G 10PS

TP-Link JetStream Gigabit Smart Switch T1500G-10MPS is equipped with 8 gigabit RJ45 ports and 2 SFP slots, all RJ45 Ports support the 802.3af/at (PoE+) standard with total PoE power budget of 116W and useful PoE power management features. The switch provides high performance, enterprise-level QoS, useful security strategies and rich layer 2 management features.

TP-Link’s JetStream Gigabit Smart Switch T1500G-10MPS is especially designed for the small and medium business networks that require effi­cient network management.

1) Connect yout PC Laptop using Ethernet cable to your TP-Link switch.
2) Assign any IP from the range 192.168.0.x/24
3) Open Web browser and type 192.168.0.1 to
access TP-LINK JET Stream switch via HTTP
4) Main page wil be displayed

5) Default username & Password is “admin”
6)Enter and click “LOGIN”. You will be directed to
Main page of Switch.
7) A number of pages are available . Let’s look quickly at different pages available.


-> SYSTEM (Shows system related info. Such as System description, Hardware & Firmware version, Date & Time settings etc)


-> L2 Features ( Common layer 2 features such as creating vlans,
assign ports to vlans , MAC VLAN binding etc)

-> L3 Features (setup your device as DHCP relay agent)

-> QOS (Ensure the quality of sensitive applications like video and voice in critical business areas by prioritizing the data of certain ports etc)

-> Security (IP-MAC-Port Binding, ACL, Port Security, DoS Defend, Storm control, DHCP Snooping, 802.1X, Radius Authentication, and more)


-> Maintenance ( Provides various methods to monitor the perfomance of Switch which may be helpful in tracing / identifying any faults or errors)
