Disable SHH & PING (ICMP) on any Inteface in Fortigate Firwall
Asalam o alikum, Today we will learn how to Disable SHH & PING (ICMP) on any Inteface in Fortigate Firwall.
For instance let’s assume that users connected to LAN Interface of your foritgate Firewall are able to ping & SSH to your firewall and you wwant to restrict them such that they are unable to Ping and do SSH. For this purpose follow the steps mentioned below to get the job done.
- Login to Forgiate Firewall
- On MAIN Page Select Network
- Click on desired Interface. Ex: INTERNAL
- Scroll down to see Restrict Access settings
- You will se a lot of services . Just Select check box to Enable/Disable any service.
- Here we will uncheck the PING & SSH services to restrict users on our LAN Network.
- Finally Click OK
